ARE YOU READY FOR THE BIG EVENT?

Are Your Ready for the Big Event?

One of the major events of the UP Business Administration Council (UP BAC) the BIG EVENT: Live Your Business Dream is just around the corner. This flagship project of UP BAC will happen on September 24, 2012 at the UNILAB Bayanihan Center. It is composed of a sequence of talks by successful Filipino business pioneers, along with an entrepreneurial fair, that is geared towards inspiring the CBA student to pursue the path of business enterprise, thus creating future business leaders.

A series of teaser nights, which is hosted by the UP BAC in partnership with Gawad Kalinga Center for Social Innovation (GK-CSI) at the Enchanted Farm Café, is held building up to the event. The three teaser nights that took place last August were made possible by the different BA organizations that partnered with the BAC namely AIESEC, JMA, CE, JPIA. Filipino Entrepreneurs were invited to give a talk on social entrepreneurship and starting a business. Speakers such as Billy Santos and Karl Satinitigan of GK CSI, Jec Divinagracia of Doodletees, Marichris Sarino of Yabang Pinoy, Enrique Angeles of Go Motions Production, PJ Lanot of Pino Resto bar, Raf Dionisio of Offbeat Pursuits, Nika Kim of Punchdrunk Panda and Jean-Luc Velhelst of AIESEC Belgium talked their journey to the top and how they turned their passions into a business.

"Watercolor"

Flashing lights reflected by the water ripples, it seems that my creativity has been tested to see art in everything, or to look at normal things in an unusual way.

Kind of my first take in toy photography using strobes, I’m still learning the ropes and the right kind of mixture of the back light and main light. I couldn’t find any better models than the tumbler toppers bought in Petron for 60 pesos. Oh well, don’t judge!

"Taste Gradient"

I personally think that I need to take less stale photos, couldn’t really help it unless my trusty strobe set-up is present. Anyways, I particularly like how the different tastes or liquids of the drink form different layers. I know it’s not that special but it still looks cute right?

"Deadwood"
I’ve been hooked to HoN recently and so I saw this drift wood from my friend’s bonsai plant which reminded me of Deadwood from HoN. Nothing special in this photo actually, I just like how the textures show when I changed it to Monochrome, makes it look more DEAD.

"Juiced"

Tried to find some photo subject in our front yard… then I saw this tomato plant! I kind of like how the colours and the modified white balance was able to reflect the hot weather of the day. The summer heat is definitely there.

"Your Heart’s Analogy"

Tried the most standard master-slave set-up to one of my mind-boggling toys. Well, it’s a bunch of wooden blocks tied together and it’s supposed to form one big Cube. (Master flash pointed directly upward, and Slave on the upper left of the subject pointing directly at the subject).

"1…2… TEST TEST"

Suddenly thought I should just stop posting the day when I shot/uploaded the picture so it’d be timeless *deep shit right there*. Ok so, I’ve recently acquired a Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG MACRO and here’s my first “creative shot” taken with the said lens. tee-hee leggo some more artworks!
